President's Corner

President's Column     Season's Greetings MVMHC Members!     First off I want to thank all of you that have enough faith in me to elect me as your president. I hope that I can come close to filling the shoes of all of the  presidents that have served before me. I am excited to work with the Officers and Board of Directors to continue to make this a strong club. I am excided to get to know more of you in the coming year.     Can you believe it? MVMHC is going to be 50 years old this year!!! What an amazing accomplishment. All of you should be commended on this. 2008's banquet in November should be one to remember. Which brings up an obvious need...a group of members to coordinate this celebration. We will start the planning process at the Annual Meeting (which, by the way, is Sunday, January 6th 2008). It will start at 1:00 pm and will be at our house. (Hopefully directions will be somewhere in this newsletter). I have heard rumors that there will be a chocolate fountain.     Another thing that I would like to discuss at the Annual Meeting is your ideas for getting more people involved. From the grass roots level to the AMHA, it cannot be stressed enough that YOU are what will keep our clubs and our breed going strong in the long run.     It is my hope that you will feel comfortable enough to contact me with comments, suggestions, concerns or criticisms at any time (well maybe not in the middle of the night).
