News from. Hillview Farm
What a year this has been with a lot of doctor appointments, farming and working with horses.¬
We got the colts, Hillview Starlight and Hillview Morning Glory, weaned October 18th.
Our fun outing was New Salem in July when we took Hillview Rainie May and her filly
Hillview Morning Glory for the demonstration. It was helpful that our young people could go and show the horses so Warren didn't have to walk so much. Shayla enjoyed riding with Tom in the doctor's buggy.
Marvalene and Heather have worked Beauty Pal some when it wasn't too hot or work didn't interfere this last summer.
Saturday evening, October 29, Warren took a colt to the veterinarian, as he was colicing. By the time he got down to the vet, the colt was pretty well over it, but treated him son anyway. We are so lucky to have these things happen on Saturday evening. There goes the dollars!
We are thankful that Jeremy can help us out too ever once and a while. Have a great 2008 everyone.

News from 'Mona and Samantha Spoon
Hello everyone. I know that this has taken me some time to send out but, way back in July 2007, I was able to purchase a house here in the Chicago area. It needs some love and care and I was lucky enough to have some good friends and even better family to help me paint, pull carpet up, have contractors in to do some minor work and yes of course move all my stuff.
The weekend of August 11, 2007 the Spoon family and I moved all the stuff from the 2-bedroom apartment that Samantha and I had been in for 3 years to the "new" 4-bedroom house in Rolling Meadows, Illinois. Samantha now has a room that is all her own and does not have to share it with the storage boxes. We even have a guest room for whom ever would like to come and visit. In addition, Sam has her own play set and back yard. We are just 5 miles from her school, S1. Peter, and I am then just another 8 miles to my job at Donlen. Samantha is enjoying 1st grade and my job is continuing to grow.

We have met several of the neighbors and most of
them have been in this neighborhood for many, many years. Many of them are home a lot so they keep a good eye on the house and things. There are some younger folks and children on the street behind our house and
Samantha has already made play dates. We look forward to the holidays and the coming summer.
I hope that this note finds everyone well. Drop us a line or come for a stay. With the holiday's approaching, I wish you all a very safe and happy season. Happy Thanksgiving and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.
Love to you all and God bless, Mona and Samantha Spoon

News from Rocking Horse Morgans
By now, most of you know the big news that Kathy will become Mrs. Ed Creighton on March 8, 2008. Although we've known who each other was for several years, it took a little push from Judy Kjellander at the 2007 AMHA Convention to get us together. Kathy and most of the horses, cats and dogs will be moving to Cincinnati sometime in late summer 2008, or whenever Ed and Kathy locate a farm and Kathy retires.
We have four foals due in 2008 by Prairie Hil1 Porsche, including a full sibling to Kathlyn Luann. Porsche's two progeny, Fiona of Castlegate and Kathlyn Luann, both made their driving debuts at the Illinois State Fair and made their papa proud.
