Hello Club Members,
The Board of Directors and the General meetings
were very productive. Several committees were established and we are
still looking for members for some of them. See the listing in this
month’s Tales (page 12). I am very ex-cited to see what the club can
accomplish this year.
Our next meeting will be the White Elephant Sale
on February 19th at the Gardner Township Hall in Springfield. I have
heard rumors of grass cutting money being saved up for a bumble
berry pie. I always enjoy the friendly bidding wars that happen,
even if it is between my daughter and herself.
I hope that everyone's horses are as happy and
healthy (translated as fat and sassy) as Busy is. He seems to be
enjoying the mild winter we’ve had so far. It seems like the humans
have had far more accidents than our equine counterparts and I hope
that everyone has a speedy recovery.
I would like to close out this column with a
request that everyone in the club be as involved as much as they
can. Even the events that are just meetings can be informative,
entertaining and sometimes down right hilarious!!! Hope to see all
of you this year.
